You might remember that I wrote about the passing of my soul mate, Yoda, a few months ago, and how a new dog, Zuma, arrived soon after. I believe dogs hold a piece of our life purpose and help broadcast it so we do not forget. Zuma stepped into that role the moment she came into our lives.

I lost my soulmate this week: my sweet Yoda, who had been with me for 15 years, crossed the rainbow bridge surrounded by all his family and doggie friends. We loved on him as he transitioned, thanks to the gentle care of a hospice vet who came to our house. Yoda was a ‘papouille slut’—he loved to just lie next to me and get full-body scratches.
