What Nourishes the Soul

Simple Pleasures, Sacred Life: A Channeled Reflection on What Your Soul Truly Craves

A channeled reflection on what nourishes the soul, drawn from hundreds of intuitive readings: the soul isn't asking for more, it's asking for the simple, spacious, and sacred that's already in front of you.

Have you ever wondered, What does my soul actually need right now?
Not your body. Not your mind. Not your to-do list. But your soul.

After hundreds of intuitive readings, I've noticed something beautiful and consistent across all of them: The soul craves the simple, the spacious and the sacred.

Despite being vast, multidimensional, and luminous beyond measure, the soul delights in the everyday and its nourishment isn’t found in escaping the human experience. Because your soul came to have a human experience and thrives on it.

Soul Truths I’ve Learned (from channeling hundreds of souls)

Here are the most common energetic patterns I’ve felt again and again in session after session:

Love

Your soul is love. Pure and radiant. It thrives on acts of love—toward yourself, others, and life itself. When you offer or receive love, it’s like your soul remembers itself.

This tracks with what researchers at Harvard have found too. Harvard's ongoing Study of Adult Development has followed participants for over 80 years and found that the quality of close relationships, not wealth or achievement, is the strongest predictor of long-term happiness and health.

If you're being called to move love through you and out into the world, the Blessed to Bless Subliminal was made for exactly that.

Connection

Your soul doesn’t want to go it alone. It longs for deep heartfelt connection with the whole around it.  It longs to feel itself reflected: in a friend’s laughter, a dog’s gaze, the way sunlight filters through the trees. Connection grounds your multidimensionality and reminds us that we are all interwoven with life around us.

Small actions move the needle more than people expect. A well-known set of studies by psychologist Sonja Lyubomirsky found that people who did five deliberate acts of kindness in a single day, once a week for six weeks, saw a real boost in happiness.

Expansion

Souls are natural explorers. Whether it's a new skill, a new city, or a new part of yourself you’ve never met before, your soul rejoices every time you step beyond the familiar, reminding you it’s come to expand itself and whatever it touches. It is said that you leave with how much you have loved and how much you have grown.

Playfulness

Even the oldest souls love to play. The lighter your spirit, the brighter your light. Laughter, silliness and games are all medicine for your soul. The soul doesn’t like to take itself too seriously: what if it’s all a cosmic joke?

If you want a gentle, structured way back into play, 10 Games To Develop Your Intuition is an ebook created with that purpose in mind.

And since the playful part of you is often the same part that holds your clearest channel, the Inner Child Squeal Subliminal Audio is built to reconnect you with that part of yourself: the playful, magical and deeply wise self.

Creativity

Creation is your soul expressing itself in form. When you create, your soul says, Yes, this is me and yes, this feels like me. And it is always seeking a new form of expression because it is always experimenting with new ways of being.

Self-Expression

Your soul has many facets, and it wants to show them. Not hide, shrink, or edit but shine. When you express yourself honestly, your soul takes up space in the world. It’s time for more people to show up as their souls.

I write more about what gets in the way of this in my blog post on Self-Authority: Why Your Body Knows Better Than Any Expert.

Beauty

Your soul sees beauty everywhere. It recognizes light in places your mind might miss. It thrives when surrounded by color, harmony, nature, diversity and authentic expression. Beauty isn’t how you look: it’s how much of your soul and your light shines through when you’re lit up from within. Beauty is about inner radiance.

Authenticity

Being your soul is being real. No masks. No pretending. Just truth. You don’t need to “become” more spiritual, you just need to be more you and share more of that with the world.

"Be yourself; everyone else is already taken." — Oscar Wilde

Nature

Earth is your soul’s ally. Vitamin D, water, wind, the soil beneath your feet: these are portals. Nature clears the static so your soul can speak and so you can hear. Disconnect yourself from the superficial world of social media and technology and your soul will absolutely thrive.

A 2019 University of Exeter study published in Scientific Reports followed nearly 20,000 people and found that at least 120 minutes a week in nature, however you get there, is linked to meaningfully better health and wellbeing

I go deeper into the serious disconnection caused by technology in my blog post on taking a break from social media.

Compassion

My guides often remind me: Compassion begins with you. Before we can truly extend love outward, we must soften inward. We need to develop sympathy for the parts of ourselves we struggle with.

This is something I covered in my blog on feeling good in a body that never felt safe because I really struggled with compassion towards myself for years.

‘Yin Activities’ That Deeply Nourish Your Soul

These gentle, receptive experiences can activate deep resonance and nourishment.

  • Watch the sunrise

  • Do a random act of kindness

  • Take a long bath

  • Gaze at the stars

  • Spend time in nature

  • Dance (even alone in your kitchen)

  • Cuddle your pet

  • Declutter a sacred space

  • Laugh with a child

  • Try something new (even a new book or flavor)

  • Smile at a stranger

  • Play a game

  • Read something soul-stretching

  • Meditate without trying too hard

  • Be silly on purpose

  • Let yourself daydream

  • Practice gratitude

  • Immerse yourself in music

These are not luxuries. These are soul essentials.

And on the days when even this list feels like too much: Soul Fed Light Language Activation is a cosmic transmission channeled as this post's companion, for when you don't have the twenty minutes for a bath or a walk but your soul still needs feeding. Press play and receive what the list above was pointing to all along.

FAQs: What Nourishes the Soul

Q: What does it mean when your soul feels hungry or depleted?

A: It usually means you've been running on doing instead of being. The fix is rarely more effort. It's more often simple, receptive practices like nature, rest, connection, and play, done on purpose rather than as an afterthought.

Q: How do I know what my soul actually needs?

A: Start with your body. Notice what you're drawn to without a "productive" reason attached, a walk, silence, a call to a friend. Your gut response, the felt yes or no in your body, is usually a more honest guide than your mind's list of shoulds.

Q: Can nourishing your soul be free?

A: Yes. Every practice listed above, watching a sunrise, gazing at the stars, dancing in your kitchen, costs nothing. Soul nourishment is less about acquiring something new and more about noticing what's already available to you.

Q: What's the difference between soul nourishment and self-care?

A: Self-care often focuses on the body and nervous system, baths, sleep, food. Soul nourishment includes that but also reaches for meaning, beauty, expansion, and connection, the parts of you that a spa day alone won't touch.

What the Soul Really Wants

It turns out, what the soul loves and needs the most...is already here and is free to all.

Not in a course, not in a five-step plan, not in a future version of you. But in the now. In everything around you.

The sacred is not separate from the mundane. As Zadie Smith astutely said, ‘either everything is sacred, or nothing is.” And when you begin to notice it, really notice it, your soul can shine through. Grace begins to flow.

None of this reaches you, though, if you're clogged, defended, or braced. Grace needs space to work through you. The Clear Vessel subliminal was created to clear what's in the way so the simple, sacred things above actually have room to land in you.
