To be or not to be…magnetic

The sunflower is magnetically attracted to the sun and has a habit of physically turning to face it.

Magnetism is how much your soul and your light shine through.”

In my world, being magnetic is not about being loud, visible, or confident. It’s about allowing your true frequency, your soul light and tune, to radiate without interference.

I was reminded of this during the recent weekly reading where the Peridot spritzer and the goddesses Fortuna and Gaia nudged me to offer a Good Fortune Reading.
The first card pulled was Magnetize which points to soul visibility.

What Dulls the Light

In the Andean Paqo tradition, they speak of hucha (dense energy) and sami (light energy). They teach many ways to clear hucha and you can even become a skilled hucha eater.

Notice that they don’t label energy as good or bad, only heavy or light. Everyone can feel the difference without judgment of what feels heavy or light. Heavy energy carries the weight of emotion; light energy rises from joy, laughter, gratitude, kindness, and nature.

Most people walk the earth full of hucha. It spreads like wildfire until someone clears it or stops the chain reaction. I believe that it’s our responsibility to notice the hucha we carry and stop it in its tracks. And yes it requires us being aware that we have some in the first place.

When you take on someone’s hucha, it becomes yours to resolve. It weighs on your energy systems and your soul.

Other subtle dulling factors include stress, over-giving, emotional residue, toxins, and too much noise or input. When the energy field becomes clogged or dense, your soul’s radiance gets muffled.

Clearing the hucha

I’m BIG on energy hygiene. It’s foundational and I believe most people aren’t mindful enough about it. Energy hygiene is the art of keeping your light channels and energy systems clear so your soul can speak through you. And it begins by clearing the hucha you create and absorb.

If every person were accountable for what they contribute to the collective, the collective would be truly transformed. Remember that this isn’t about control or blame. It’s about accountability and about making space for light to move again within your systems.

Living from a Radiant Field

Becoming magnetic happens naturally when your energy is fluid and vibrant. The aura isn’t fixed; it’s a dynamic exchange: constantly expanding, contracting, sending, and receiving information.

Because of that, you must be discerning about what you allow in and out of your field. Choose your focus wisely, limit static from screens and media, spend more time in nature and clear your hucha regularly. This makes space for your soul to express itself and be heard. Accountability is about power. You get to decide what comes in and out of your field and if you don’t like what you bring into it, you get to clear it.

I spoke about this with my parents recently over lunch. My father was angry: his hucha was rapidly spreading around the table. My mother had returned from a lunch where the Israel–Gaza conflict came up and had come home with hucha. I suggested they take a walk or a shower before continuing the conversation.

Neither of them had heard of the concept before and asked how to clear it. I shared a few options: burn sage or palo santo, diffuse essential oils, take a shower with the intention to clear, walk outside, or soak in a bath with cider vinegar and unrefined sea salt.

Your Light as an Offering

When you let your soul and light shine through, you become medicine for the world because your magnetism isn’t a strategy. It’s devotion to your own soul.

Let’s focus on becoming aware of our own hucha so our light and soul can be seen and the collective can be transformed from the inside out.
